HOPE BENNETT
I received my MFA in Costume Design from the University of Texas at Austin and my BFA in Fibers from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore. I am passionate about opera, new work, experimental design and ways to combine the three to make theater vital and accessible.
I recently designed Verdi at Austin Opera, a regional premiere of Caryl Churchill's new play at St. Edward's University, and reworked my own design for a tour for Paper Chairs. I have freelanced with several Austin companies, including the Rude Mechanicals, and am always up for new types of theatermaking and design.
